Lakers vs. Warriors

On November 21, I went to a Lakers game. They were playing against the Golden State Warriors. We had special parking, but it still took a long time to get there because they were just ending the MTV music awards and the L.A auto show was starting near the Staples Center. My dad got us great seats because he got them from the company he works for. At the game, we saw my dad's friend Albert. Albert sat right next to us with his friend. At the end of the first quarter, the score was something like 30-17 Lakers. After the second quarter, it was about 60-30 Lakers. When the third quarter was over, it was around 80-55. At the end of the game, the Lakers won by about 30 points. In my opinion, a reason the Warriors lost was because they were fooling around before the game. I think another reason was because David Lee was hurt. The Lakers got over 100 points so I got 2 free tacos from Jack in the Box and my dad got two free tacos from Jack in the Box. It was also Chick Hearn day so we each got our very own Chick Hearn paperweights! Here is a picture of me at the Lakers game:

Karate Test

On Saturday, I had a belt test at my karate.  I do a style that combines Shotokan and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Right now, we are doing a big kata.  It is called the Thunder Kata.  I tested for my 2nd brown belt. Here is a picture of my 2nd brown belt:

I have been doing karate for around four years.  Here is the story of how I became an expert at karate:

One day, my mom asked me if I wanted to do karate.  At that point, I was only four years old.  Before I started karate, my mom and I had been walking in and looking at kids do karate.  Then I took a free trial class.  I really liked it so I kept on going.

My sensei's were sensei Tom and sensei Andy.  I really liked sensei Tom because he really tried hard to teach you karate and he only played games if we were doing our best.  I learned that the #1 rule in karate is always try your best.  I liked sensei Andy because if we did good for about 20 minutes we would be able to play games for 25 minutes.

I went to karate with my friends:  Kelly, Ethan, Deven, Dylan and Wyatt. Deven and I are the only ones who still go to karate.  One day, I went to karate with my friend Dylan and there was a new sensei named sensei Trever.  I was sad that sensei Tom and sensei Andy left but now I am happy that sensei Trever came.  Also, sensei Romel came.  He quit after about a year because he is on someTV shows.  Along the way, my senseis Eric, Brandon and Leandro joined the dojo.  Now after 4 years, I just got my 2nd brown belt.  At my dojo, the belt order goes:  white, yellow, orange, blue, purple, green, 1st red, 2nd red, 3rd red, 1st brown, 2nd brown, 3rd brown, black, 2nd black.

New House and New School

This year I moved to a new house and a new school. At first, I was a little sad because now I do not go to the same school as my friends. One of my best friends also moved to a new school so I felt a little better about moving.

I like my new house because there is more space to play outside. We live on a private hill. I am happy that now I have my own pool. After a couple days, we saw a deer in our backyard. Here is a picture:

At my new school, I was a little worried because I only knew a few people. Very quickly, I made a lot of new friends. After a few weeks, I was able to show an even newer student around. I think I was lucky to get Mrs. Yollis as my teacher. I have liked computers since I was 2. Since she teaches about blogging, she was the perfect teacher for me.

Have you ever moved to a new house or started a new school?
How did you feel about moving or starting a new school?
Have you ever had any interesting animals at your house?

Welcome to my blog. My name is Jaden and I am in Mrs. Yollis' 3rd grade class in California. I have a lot of hobbies and here are some: basketball, football, karate, blogging, reading and playing with my friends. On this blog I will be posting about sports, school, and other things in my life.  Please feel free to leave a comment on my blog.

I am very happy to have my own blog. I would like to give a special thanks to my teacher Mrs. Yollis for letting me have my own blog. It means a lot to me that she allowed me to have my own blog.  I look forward to reading your comments and commenting back to you.

Do you have any hobbies?
